Was Joe Biden a comedian in a previous life? Why is he always telling people what he says is not a joke or he means it sincerely? Do folks giggle a lot at him?
Is he joking about McCain?
“John just doesn’t get it,” Biden continued. “John’s answer to your health care problems is — seriously, this is not a joke — John wants to, his answer is he’s going to give a tax credit, and the way he’s going to pay for that tax credit is to tax everybody who has health insurance.”
Was he joking about Indians?
“I’ve had a great relationship,” said Biden. “In Delaware, the largest growth in population is Indian-Americans moving from India. You cannot go to a 7-Eleven or a Dunkin’ Donuts unless you have a slight Indian accent. I’m not joking.”
About Hillary, too?
“She’s a truly close personal friend, she is qualified to be president of the United States of America, she’s easily qualified to be vice president of the United States of America, and quite frankly, it might have been a better pick than me. But she’s first rate, I mean that sincerely, she’s first rate, so let’s get that straight.”
…and the list goes on and on. It’s like people think he’s funny when he says stuff and then he has to admonish them – to be believed.
Listen for it when you see him on the news in the next few days. It’ll leave you laughing – though you shouldn’t. Because as he’s explained, it’s not a joke, so let’s get that straight.
