…pretty much what the title says. I’m not sure why I wanted one. Probably one food blog or another turned me on to them. At any rate, it’s a different tool for me and I’m learning how to use it little by little. It’s a finer piece of hardware for cutting. It’s not a “horse it through” knife. It’s more of a smooth, graceful cutting instrument. It’s a thinner blade and a whole different feel. It’s very nice for slicing vegetables; they don’t stick thanks to the grooves in the sides.
Now, I’m trying to get the Mrs. to buy into the magnetic knife strip idea. Something about knives, unsheathed hanging by a magnet is putting her off. But it’s cooler than a block, I tell her!
