Easter in Paris

When you land in Paris and they wave you right through
Though your passport picture, doesn’t look much like you
They don’t look at your luggage, they don’t look at your face
‘Cause you pose no danger and you’re such a disgrace

– James McMurtry – “Paris”

The Mrs. found a good deal on plane tickets to Paris so we’ll be heading there this weekend to see if “spring in Paris” is really all it’s cracked up to be. I completely expect it to be. Haven’t been there in about 8 years, I think, so I’m really looking forward to it. Expect pictures of food, wine and folks in berets when I get back.  Joyeuses Pâques!

  1. Unlike the McMurtry lyrics, Paris is unbelieveably tough on security. Both coming and coming this month we were really surprised. Even Cassablanca was much stricter than many US airports. I’m happy they do it!!!

  2. I’m sure they are tough with the stamps you have in your passport. Thailand, Morocco, Botswana, Namibia and Zimbabwe.

Oui? “Retirement,” Monsieur? S’il vous plaît…
