Another day in the Dolomites. What an underrated place. We took the kids up to the top of the mountain after taking about a half-mile car ride up on the one lane road. Don’t do that. Plop down the cash for the ski lift a few clicks up the road, enjoy the view and have a liter of beer when you get there (if that’s your thing). Then, walk the “giro delle torri”. You’ll see WWI trenches that apparently housed up to 500 marksmen when in use. Close out the afternoon with lamb chops, steak, gulash(!) or gnocchi and take the ride down in the last lift at 5. And then marvel at your blessings and the wonder of the Cinque Torri.
